Women's Summer Fan 'BAKI folding Fan' with Sky BAKI Pattern on a Black background ( Yamatake Senpo)

This is a Kyoto fan created in collaboration with Osaka-based artist BAKIBAKI. The fan's surface features a design called “BAIKI pattern,” which utilizes the shape of the fan surface and is printed on black dyed washi paper using a silk screen technique. Combined with black-dyed ribs, the overall design maintains a sense of unity.

Compared to typical designs, this fan features a narrower surface width and a greater number of ribs—45 in total. Each rib has a larger shape known as “tanji”. The tanji shape opens widely and fits comfortably in the hand, making it easy to fan, and the flexibility of the ribs allows for a strong airflow.

Usage Precautions

• Please be careful of moisture, as this product is made of paper and bamboo.
• When opening and closing, do so slowly and gently at first to avoid the possibility of the paper bending in the wrong direction. Over time, the components will become accustomed to each other, and opening and closing will become smoother.
• Be cautious of injuries due to breakage, such as bone fractures.
