This product is inspired by the beloved sword “Kotetsu”, owned by the absolute leader of the Shinsengumi, Kondō Isami. Great attention has been given to the design of the scabbard, guard (tsuba), and temper line (hamon) of the blade.
The black stone-textured scabbard evokes a pure traditional Japanese style, creating a dignified look that brings to mind the spirit of Kondō Isami in his prime.
Handcrafted by the skilled artisans of Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, a town renowned for its blade-making tradition, each pair is finely sharpened, ensuring smooth and precise cuts, even through envelopes and paper.
With the included display stand, the paper knife can be easily accessed whenever needed, without having to search for it. The scabbard ensures that the blade remains safely enclosed, preventing exposure and ensuring safe storage.
