Marunineko Kincha(/fan/fun)
Marunineko Kincha(/fan/fun)
This is a paper fan created in collaboration with the Osaka kimono manufacturer, Torie. The design features Torie’s signature cat, which evokes the image of a cat curling up on a cold day, playfully resembling a polka dot shape. The cat is arranged in a round pattern, and the bold gradient takes inspiration from the pull-dye technique of Kyoto Yuzen. It is a conveniently sized fan (approximately 22 cm) for easy carrying. The cat on the fan surface is printed using screen printing, while the back is hand-finished by artisans using a technique called "shikebiki." The fan comes with a side-opening pouch. It is produced by Kyotomi No Ya Fan Shop, established in 1894, using traditional craftsmanship. We hope you incorporate our /fan/fun fan into your daily life, enjoy fanning yourself, and become a fan of fans. No perfume is used during manufacturing.
