This is a very lightweight brooch made of handmade Japanese paper. Japanese paper is pasted over paper clay molded into a drop shape, then foil is applied, and Kozo fibers are added to finish.
The indigo-colored washi on the base is made by Mr. Fukunishi, who makes Yoshino washi in Nara Prefecture.
The color of indigo dyed with indigo has been familiar to Japanese people for a long time. The work is one of a kind. ＜Approximately 3 cm in width, 5.5 cm in height, and 5 g in weight.
