Geomentryescher Blue（/fan/fun）

This paper fan is a collaboration with the Osaka kimono manufacturer, Torie. The design is inspired by the world of geometry reminiscent of the infinite corridors created by the master of optical illusions, M.C. Escher. It expresses a sense of lightness with a 3D effect achieved through visual trickery. The fan is conveniently sized (approximately 22 cm) for easy portability.

On the front of the fan, artisans apply a pearl color using brushes, while the back features a technique called "shikebiki." Each time you fan yourself, it reflects a dazzling sparkle. The fan pouch is designed for side access, and this fan is crafted by Kyo Minoya, a company that has been producing fans using traditional methods since its founding in 1894.
