Kyo Zogan is a technique in which a special chisel called a "tagane" is used to make very fine cuts in the surface of the base metal.
The gold or silver is then inlaid into the grooves.
It is also called "Nunome Zogan" because the grooves laid vertically and horizontally look like cloth.
