Collection: GANKA - traditional Kyoto pottery -
Established in the early Meiji era. After training in Okinawa, he succeeded to the 6th generation of Iwaka.
He started painting traditional patterns using gosu and akae (red glaze), and also created a new style of painting using iron and gold glaze.
He also produces a wide variety of works, including crystal glaze, a technique he learned through his training.
He has been making his own pottery since the first generation, preserving the handcraft of traditional techniques and trying to create easy-to-use pieces with a heart of heart and dreams.
We hope you will enjoy using our pottery as one of the colors of your daily life.
