Collection: HINENO KATSUJIRO - traditional Kyoto dyeing techniques -

Made by a dyer in Kyoto" is a lifestyle brand created by Katsujiro Hineno Shoten, a three-generation Siddaiya (complete set of all fabrics) shop in Kyoto,

(Ltd., a Sushikumi-ya that has been in business for three generations in Kyoto.

A Sushikkaiya is also called a dyer in Kyoto, and in modern parlance, a Sushikkaiya is like a producer.

In Kyoto, Sushikumiaya is also known as a dyeing house,

It has been involved in the dyeing of kimono fabrics for generations.

Even today, we work together with about 150 craftsmen to produce kimono fabrics.

However, the kimono is gradually disappearing from Japanese people's lives,

However, as kimonos have gradually disappeared from Japanese life, the opportunities for people to pick up our dyed fabrics have been decreasing.

We want as many people as possible to have access to the fabrics we produce.

With this in mind, we use silk fabrics hand-dyed by artisans for kimonos to create items that fit in with modern life.

We make items that blend in with modern life.
