Yoshimura Rakunyu is a potter specializing in Raku ware, a particular type of Kiyomizu ware.
We focus on black and red Raku tea bowls, which have been valued in the tea ceremony since the time of Sen no Rikyu,
We produce gorgeous painted tea bowls.
The Yoshimura family has been engaged in the manufacture of pottery and whetstones in Kyoto since the Meiji era (1868-1912), and pottery has been their main business since Rakunyu I began,
The Yoshimura family has been producing tea ceremony utensils such as matcha bowls and ornaments since the Meiji era (1868-1912). The name "Rakunyu" has been passed down from generation to generation, with the current generation being the third.
